Catherine Doherty, from Lenexa, Kansas, began her professional training at the age of 12 with Juan Pablo Trujillo and Stefani Schrimpf at the Kansas School of Classical Ballet. In 2017, Catherine went on to continue her studies at The Harid Conservatory in Boca Raton, Florida where she graduated from in 2019. After graduating she then joined The Washington School of Ballet as a Trainee under the direction of Xiomara Reyes and Rinat Imaev. While training in the PTD division at TWSB, Catherine performed repertoire from Diana and Acteon, Satanella, Giocanda and Raymonda. As a Trainee, Catherine was also given opportunities to perform alongside The Washington Ballet company in productions such as The Nutcracker, Swan Lake and Giselle.
