Lowell Yoder is currently an Executive Vice President, Commercial Banking for Greater Washington at M&T Bank. Lowell is responsible for the overall management of the group including sales management, credit quality and financial performance. Lowell spearheaded the Banks’s strategic Government Contracting initiative, Convenience & Gas project, and Renewable Energy Finance program.
From 2007 until the merger with M&T Bank in 2009, Lowell led Provident Bank’s Middle Market Commercial Banking Group in the Greater Washington, DC area. As a Sr. Vice President, Lowell was responsible for all facets of operations including marketing, P&L management, credit underwriting, and community involvement.
Prior to January 2007, Lowell held the position of Senior Vice President of Strategic Development and Sales Management at Provident Bank in Baltimore. Lowell was responsible for the development of the Commercial Banking Group’s sales culture and revenue generating strategies and tactics.
Lowell earned his undergraduate degree in Business Finance from Frostburg State University, secured a graduate degree in Commercial Banking at the Stonier Graduate School of Banking, and successfully completed the University of Michigan’s Senior Leadership Development Program. Lowell also attended the Executive Program in Strategic Sales Management at The University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and was a member of the 2000 Leadership Montgomery class.
Lowell currently serves the Treasurer of the Montgomery County of Chamber of Commerce, and he is a Board member of The Washington Ballet. Lowell also serves on the Advisory Board of the Washington DC Salvation Army ARC and chairs the Army’s Finance Committee.
Lowell resides in Bethesda, Maryland with his wife Deb and has two daughters Lindsey and Abbey.
