Aliya Siegel was born in Tucson, Arizona, and raised in Tampa, Florida, where she began dancing at a young age. From age 7 to 18, she thrived as a competitive dancer, igniting her love for the arts. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from Florida State University, where her passion deepened. During her years at FSU, Aliya’s role as Director’s Assistant at Artistry Dance Alliance sparked her interest in arts administration.
After graduation, Aliya’s journey expanded. Interning at Kaatsbaan Cultural Park’s Fall Festival and Visceral Dance Chicago broadened her knowledge. Aliya eagerly embraces the adventure of a new city and the start of her journey with The Washington Ballet.
