A quintessential DC holiday tradition, The Nutcracker Tea Party is filled with family fun and seasonal merriment.

Sunday, December 3, 2023 at 3pm at The Waldorf Astoria

At this year’s Nutcracker Tea, guests will be whimsically transported to an enchanting and magical soirée, hosted by the one and only Rat King. Truly a regal affair, guests will indulge in delicacies suited for our saucy Royal Highness and can pose for photos with iconic Nutcracker characters from the production. Children will delight in sweet treats, craft making, and can showcase their dance moves in a royal dance battle where Team Nutcracker will face off against Team Rat King.

The Nutcracker Tea Party also includes tickets to your choice of the 1pm matinee or 5:30pm evening performance of the season’s most anticipated performance of The Nutcracker at the Warner Theatre.

Proceeds from The Nutcracker Tea Party support the education and community engagement programs of The Washington School of Ballet, the premier ballet school in the nation’s capital.

The Washington Ballet dedicates more than $1.4 million annually to outreach and education programs. Funds raised from the event allow TWSB to award over $300,000 annually in merit and need-based scholarships.
