The multi-talented TWB Studio Company dancer Nicholas Cowden shares the process and inspiration for creating the costumes for Helga Paris-Morales‘ Create in Place piece, Womb of Heaven.
“When Helga first spoke about her ballet, she spoke about this imagined, primitive society. She was inspired by Yuval Noah Harari’s book Sapiens, which chronicles life from the beginning of time. Immediately, I begin to imagine her ballet as a fantastical tribe of individuals who exist both in and out of reality.” – Nick Cowden
