Live-Stream Open Classes:

The intention behind these open classes is to provide adult students with the opportunity to receive feedback, in real-time, in a live-streamed ballet class setting. For that reason, classes will be capped at approximately 25 students. TWSB faculty will provide instruction. A “demonstrator” will be present for all classes so students can follow along for guidance while faculty focuses on providing you feedback.

All classes are 90 minutes with the understanding that a small portion of this time may be used to address the technology. We will include as much time to move as possible for every class.

Classes are held via the Zoom platform. Zoom can be used on smartphones, tablets, or computers. We strongly recommend downloading the Zoom app or software prior to joining classes. Zoom information will be sent to participants one-hour before the class start time.

Classes cost $13. Our goal is to make these classes as accessible as possible during what we know to be a time a financial difficulty for many. Students who have a previously purchased class-packages and have remaining credits on their account are welcome to use class credits. To do so, email Kourtney Ginn. Unfortunately, we cannot refund or offer credits for the difference in pricing at this time.

Pay What You Can Classes:

The intention behind these classes is to provide adult students with the opportunity to take ballet class with beloved TWSB faculty and dancers. While payment for the class is not required, we do hope participants will consider making a donation to our Stronger Than Ever campaign, created to ensure that the current COVID-19 state of emergency strengthens our commitment to each other and our art form.

These classes will be capped at 300 students. TWSB faculty will provide instruction and demonstration.

A Note to All Participants:

Before joining TWSB live-streamed classes please take a moment to consider the appropriate class-level see TWSB’s level descriptions to help guide you. When in doubt about which level to take, join a lower level first.

Take a moment to prepare your space before class. Use your best judgment when selecting your temporary barre to ensure stability as you work. Consider the floor surface and wear appropriate footwear such as ballet slippers. Test your work area before beginning.

Make smart choices and be mindful of your space as you work. The faculty and demonstrators may have very different environments. Listen closely for options to modify exercises that may align with your environment and technique level.

Most importantly, enjoy! We are excited to continue dancing with you!
