NW Pre Ballet Presentation
Pre-Ballet I students will have an open observation for immediate family members during the last class in May. Pre-Ballet II and III students will have the opportunity to show their achievements in a class presentation at the end of the school year in our England Studio Theater. Participation is optional.
NW Spring Performance
Levels 1-7, along with students from the Professional Training Program (PTP), will present an annual Spring Performance, in the spacious state-of-the-art theater at our SE Campus at THEARC. Spring Performance will take place on May 28 and 29. This year, we will begin the performance with In The Classroom. This year Level 6, 7 and PTP will perform La Bayadere (Wedding Act). In Act 3, the Level 1A to 7 students will perform Around the World. Participation is optional. There is an additional fee associated with the Spring Performance, as well as extra rehearsal times.
Each year our Levels 5,6,7 and PTP present variations and repertoire work twice a year at our Fall Showcase and Winter Showcase. Our Showcases are held in our England Studio in our main building at 3515 Wisconsin Ave. This is a ticketed event, tickets are $25 each and the seating is limited to 100 per show. Proceeds benefit our scholarship program. There are 2 shows for each Showcase. Tickets are available at the front desk in person or by calling 202-362-3606.
Levels Pre-Ballet III-PTP will have the opportunity to audition for the annual production of The Washington Ballet’s The Nutcracker. Additionally, PTP students may have the opportunity to perform in other company productions. Please contact School Manager, Donna Glover for more information.
SE Children’s Showcase
Pre-Ballet students will have the opportunity to demonstrate their achievements in the Children’s Spring Showcase at the end of the school year in our large studio. Please check back for the performance date and time.
SE Spring Performance
The annual Spring Performance of The Washington School of Ballet’s SE Campus highlights the talent in the school with all graded levels technique from 1A to level 6. Students will perform the annual classic of In the Classroom choreographed by School Director Kee Juan Han. The program will also showcase the diverse talents of students which include ballet, jazz, modern and African dance. The program is directed by The Washington Ballet @ THEARC Director Katrina Toews. The performance is held at the 350-seat THEARC Theatre located at 1901 Mississippi Avenue SE, Washington, DC. 20020. The show will be held on Friday, May 27 at 7:30PM and Saturday, May 28 at 11:00AM. All tickets are $20 and children under two may sit on their parents' laps. Free parking is available and the facility is handicap accessible.

The Washington Ballet @ THEARC Performance Ensemble
The Washington Ballet @ THEARC Performance Ensemble is an auditioned group of dancers that performs throughout the greater DC community. This vibrant group is made up of young men and women and highlights the diverse talent of The Washington Ballet’s SE campus with performances at such prestigious venues as The White House with the President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama in attendance, The Library of Congress, the National Mall and more. The group performs classical ballet, jazz, modern and street jazz selections by numerous accomplished guest artists under the direction of Director of TWB@THEARC Katrina Toews.
