Nancy Flores is a Baltimore native of Puerto Rican heritage. Influenced by her musical family, she learned to dance salsa and merengue at the age of 7. The passion to dance was instilled at a young age as she remembers watching ballet on Maryland Public Television and dancing in front of the TV with the performers. Nancy graduated with a BA in Psychology from Loyola University. She is an accomplished Latin American ballroom dance champion with U.S. titles. As a classical dancer, Nancy has performed in more than 15 productions since 2003 as a soloist and principal dancer with Baltimore Lyric Opera, Dallas Opera and the Washington National Opera. She is also a professional actor for stage, film, television and voice-over productions. As a choreographer, she has assisted various national and international choreographers both in opera and ballet productions and she enjoys choreographing new works for dramatic productions as well. Most recently, she choreographed a production of Evita in Baltimore.
