Morgan Bailie began her formal dance training with the Alabama Ballet School in her hometown of Birmingham, Alabama. Under the direction of Tracey Alvey and Roger Van Fleteren, Morgan trained in a variety of ballet disciplines including Royal Academy of Dance and the American Ballet Theatre curriculum. At 15 years old, she was invited to perform with Alabama Ballet’s professional company for George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker both on tour and in residence. As a student, Morgan performed at the Youth American Grand Prix competition and was cast in pieces for the annual Alabama Dance Festival. Morgan also attended summer intensive programs including Pacific Northwest Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, and Ballet West. After graduating high school, Morgan pursued college degrees while remaining active in adult ballet classes and teaching young students.
