Marketing and Communications

Erica has over 13 years of experience in arts communications and marketing, specializing in digital content creation, vision, and strategy. Since arriving at The Washington Ballet in the fall of 2018, Erica’s focus has been on developing a cohesive digital strategy and voice to encompass all aspects of the organization.

Previously, she directed all communications functions for The Art League, the largest visual arts non-profit of its kind in the Washington, DC region. As the Director of Communications and Marketing for The Art League, she built the department from the ground up, created an online presence for the organization, and successfully expanded the revenue, audience, and reach of the organization with a two-person staff and a tight marketing budget. Erica presented at the National Arts Marketing Project Conference in 2015 in Salt Lake City and at Capacity Interactive’s Digital Marketing Bootcamp for the Arts in 2016 in New York City on The Art League’s evolution and success in the digital space.

Erica holds a BA in Government from The College of William and Mary and as a dancer and choreographer, was actively involved in the College’s dance company, Orchesis.
