Ebru Cologlu-Hungelmann


Ebru Cologlu-Hungelmann was born in Istanbul, Turkey. She started her ballet training at the State Conservatory of Istanbul when she was nine years old. She studied ballet and modern dance at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. Additionally, she danced in Giselle, Swan Lake, and The Sleeping Beauty. After studying in Istanbul, she went to Germany for her Dance Education training at the Lola-Rogge-School in Hamburg and received her professional designation as state examined teacher for dance. In 2001, she began to pursue a Master’s degree in Dance Movement and Sports Science, with a minor in Medicine, at the University of Hamburg. She’s been teaching pre-ballet, ballet, creative dance, modern dance and Improvisation techniques, dance composition, jazz, fitness training for adults, senior gymnastics and dance, stretching, and yoga since 1999 in Germany and the US.
