FAQ

Q: I am having issues with applying via DanceApply. What is the best option for me?
A: Please make sure you are not doing the following: Using a VPN, trying to upload files that are now the approved types listed above, missing any upload required for the application to be filed properly.
If none of these are the issue and troubleshooting is not helping, please email auditions@washingtonballet.org. You will receive an Automated response, but please know that we are closely monitoring this email to assist with any issues.

Q: I haven’t heard back from you about whether I am invited to audition for the current audition tour. What should I do?
A:
Our apologies. We had a miscommunication with our publications and the auditions on tour are all open auditions. All applicants are welcomed to auditions. We hope to see you there!

Q: I applied to the General Submission Auditions. When will I hear back about whether TWB is interested in my application?
A: We have seen your application and we will reach out to you directly, if we would like to further the discussion with you about your interest in the Company or Studio Company.

Q: I have not heard back from the Auditions email or DanceApply. Is there anyone else I should email OR call?
A:
Please do not email anyone else in the TWB organization about auditions. Though you get an automated response from the auditions email, we do see your emails and will respond as swiftly as we can. Please do not call the main studio line. Phone calls will not be processed.

Q: I would love to audition for The Washington School of Ballet’s Summer Intensive. How do I do that?
A: Please visit https://www.washingtonballet.org/summer-programs/#nw-summer-auditions to register for the TWSB Summer Intensive.
