School Performances
NW Campus School Performances
There are various performing opportunities depending on student’s level and age:
Pre-Ballet students will have the opportunity to show their achievements in a culminating performance at the end of the school year in our England Studio Theater. Participation is optional.
Levels 1-6, along with students from the Professional Training Program (PTP) will present an annual Spring Performance, in the spacious state of the art theater at our SE Campus at the ARC. Participation for levels 1-6 is optional.
Levels Pre-Ballet II-Level 6 will have the opportunity to audition for the annual production of The Washington Ballet’s The Nutcracker. Additionally, PTP students may have the opportunity to perform in other company productions. Please check back for more information on 2012.2013 performances.
SE Campus School PERFORMANCES
Performing opportunities depend on each student’s level and age:
Creative Movement/Pre-Ballet students will have the opportunity to demonstrate their achievements in the Children’s Spring Showcase at the end of the school year in our large studio. The performances will be held on Sunday, May 5 with a 2:00PM and 4:00PM show. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased through The Washington Ballet @ THEARC offices starting Monday, April 15, 2013 during normal business hours.
Levels 1-6 will present an annual Spring Performance in the spacious, state-of-the-art THEARC Theater. This year’s Spring Performance will include two ballet’s Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Mozart and Etudes: A Classical Demonstration, along with modern, jazz, and African dances. To purchase tickets go to www.washingtonballet.org and click on Tickets/Performances or call 202.362.3606 x605. All seats are reserved and are $20.
Levels Pre-Ballet II-Level 6 will have the opportunity to audition for the annual production of The Washington Ballet’s The Nutcracker. Auditions are scheduled for October 6 and call-backs will be held on October 7, 2012. Please check back for more detailed information regarding audition times and location. The Nutcracker is performed at THEARC Theater and Warner Theater with performances running from November 23 through December 24, 2012.
TWSB Spring Performances
The Washington School of Ballet will have its annual Spring Performances at the state-of-the-art theater at THEARC. This year’s Spring Performances are scheduled for May 24-26, 2013. Performances for each campus are listed below:
