NW Campus
After the start of the 10.11 school year, the Washington School of Ballet will continue to audition students with prior training. Please contact Donna Glover 202-362-3606 x149 or dglover@washingtonballet.org, to schedule an audition. Students without prior training should check this website in January for the 2010-2011 audition dates. Please click here for an audition form.

SE Campus at THEARC
TWSB programs run for a full school year, September through June. The school will re-open registration mid-year based upon class size and availability. Interested students will be registered on a first come first serve basis and should contact the school for more information by phone 202.274.4533 or email mwroth@washingtonballet.org.

What to Expect
Students will participate in a technique class and be assessed according to technical ability and age-appropriate standards. Prior experience will also be taken into consideration.
Attire
Girls should wear a leotard, tights, and ballet shoes (students on pointe should bring pointe shoes). Boys should wear black tights and a white T-shirt. However, if your child has never danced before, they may wear form fitting, comfortable clothing for the audition. Please remove all jewelry and be certain that the student's hair is pulled away from their face and secured, preferably in a bun.
In order to audition for The Washington Ballet company productions, such as The Nutcracker, the student must be enrolled in The Washington School of Ballet for one year. Please check the school bulletin board in the reception area for updated notices regarding any Nutcracker auditions.
