Sizzling and sultry, The Washington Ballet turns up the heat with ¡Noche Latina! a Latino travelogue celebrating the pulsating culture of Latin America. An evening of live music, intense dancing and unbridled fun, ¡Noche Latina! explores Argentinean tango, Brazilian samba and bassa nova, Mexican folk music and banda, and the Cuban salsa. This caliente fiesta will feature the Company premiere of Paul Taylor’s astonishing tango Piazzola Caldera, paired with Septime Webre’s Juanita y Alicia, a tribute to his homeland of Cuba, Nacho Duato’s Na Floresta, along with other works to be announced.
