Celebrate the 10th anniversary of Septime Webre’s The Nutcracker by sharing your family’s favorite memory from The Nutcracker!

This season, The Washington Ballet is celebrating the 10th Anniversary of Septime Webre's The Nutcracker. With ten years of performances, thousands of young dancers and their families have been touched by this magical production.

We invite you to share with us your most memorable experience from The Nutcracker for our 10th Anniversary Campaign.

Memories will be collected throughout the month of December and can be shared through TWB’s social media channels with your permission. Submission of a memory confirms your permission to share your memory on TWB social media channels.

In addition to sharing your experience, we hope you will consider making an end of the year contribution to help strengthen our ability to serve thousands of families in the DC metropolitan region.

2:00PM - G Street between 12th & 13th Street, The celebration begins outside on G Street as our co-hosts, American Ballet soloist, Misty Copeland and FOX 5 Anchor Allison Seymour kick off the festivities! Our star-studded lineup includes performances by Bystorm/RCA recording artist, Mali Music and Season 6 contestant on NBC's “The Voice,” Ddendyl.

Enjoy performances by the WPAS Children of the Gospel Choir, and excerpts of The Nutcracker by The Washington Ballet. Plus, the man of the hour, Santa, and Ballou High School Marching Band will count down to reveal this year’s spectacular holiday windows!

Family Day at The Nutcracker

The Washington Ballet presents FAMILY DAY at The Nutcracker, a ballet experience custom-built for family fun where children of all ages discover what it takes to create everyone’s favorite The Nutcracker. TWB’s Artistic Director and The Nutcracker choreographer, Septime Webre leads fun-filled activities and a special behind-the-scenes look at The Nutcracker on Sunday, December 7 at the historic Warner Theatre. The doors open and activities begin at 11:30AM for the 1PM performance.

Military Appreciation Night at The Nutcracker

Doors open at 6PM

In collaboration with USO Metropolitan Washington, Ft. Belvoir Warrior Transition Unit and Walter Reed Hospital, The Washington Ballet will host a large group service men and women and their families to see Septime Webre’s critically acclaimed The Nutcracker. The production will transport the audience back in time to historic Washington, DC and stars George Washington as the heroic Nutcracker, who’s Revolutionary War Soldiers do battle with King George III. TWB’s The Nutcracker is the perfect production to honor DC’s military men and women.
