Elisa Torro, from Bogotá, Colombia, began her ballet training in 1995, at the School of Ballet Myriam Guerrero. In April of 2004, she received “Mention of Honor” at the VIII International Ballet Competition in Havana, Cuba. In September of 2004, she started advanced training at Miami City Ballet School, for three consecutive years. She also attended summer intensives at Washington School of Ballet and Orlando Ballet School. Elisa joined the Studio Company of the Washington Ballet in September of 2007.
