Giselle Alvarez, a native of Miami, FL, joined The Washington Ballet Studio Company in April 2006. She began her training at the age of 3 with Ballet Concerto Studios and later studied with Miami City Ballet School, performing with the Miami City Ballet in Geroge Balanchine’s The Nutcracker, Symphony in C, Stars and Stripes, Swan Lake, Coppélia and Giselle. She recently danced with the Carolina Ballet as an apprentice for the 2004/2005 season. With The Washington Ballet, Giselle has performed in Who Cares?, Serenade, Alexandre Proia’s The Little Prince, Trey McIntyre’s Blue Until June and Septime Webre’s Carmina Burana.
