Alvaro Palau, of Cali, Colombia, is in his thirteenth season with The Washington Ballet after performing as a principal dancer at Ballet Contemporaneo de Caracas for two years and as a soloist at Cali Ballet for four years. Mr. Palau, who toured internationally with both companies, received his dance training at Instituto Colombiano de Ballet Clasico and the Colombia Ballet Institute "Incol Ballet." This past summer, Mr. Palau performed with Chautauqua Dance Company, under the direction of Jean-Pierre Bonnefoux and recently performed at the International Ballet Festival of Miami.
