Zachary Hackstock, a native of Wisconsin, trained at the North Carolina School of the Arts, the School of American Ballet and Pacific Northwest Ballet School. Before joining The Washington Ballet, Mr. Hackstock danced with Boston Ballet as a member of Boston Ballet II. While there, he danced in Balanchine’s Stars and Stripes, Nureyev’s Don Quixote, Val Caniparoli’s Lady of the Camelias and Artistic Director Miko Nissenen’s staging of Swan Lake. Since joining The Washington Ballet in 2004, Mr. Hackstock has danced in such ballets as Balanchine’s Stravinsky Violin Concerto and Serenade, Septime Webre’s Carmen and Romeo and Juliet, Christopher Wheeldon’s There Where She Loved and Twyla Tharp’s Nine Sinatra Songs among others. This is his fourth season with The Washington Ballet.
