Hey TWB Family,

Man can I say that I am so proud of the amazing talent that we have here at The Washington Ballet. We have peaks of artistic potential from some of our very own TWB company dancers to those training in our Professional Training Program.

So this weekend a few of the ballet dancers and I traveled to Boston, MA for the Third Round of the Boston International Ballet Competition. It was a pleasure to see some of the ballet world’s greatest talents from across the globe. However, it is even better when your very own members of the TWB family dance to the brink to bring home the gold!

Our very own Brooklyn Mack brought home the Senior Gold Medal for his very powerful and eclectic performance of his “Actaeon” variation. In some of the talent to look out for, our Professional Training Program Student, Albert Gordon, took the Junior Gold Medal in his variation from the pantomime ballet “Satanella.”

Wait there is more, Brooklyn and Aurora Dickie both stunned the judges with their works and received citations for the best interpretation of compulsory contemporary variation. And last but not least, Adile Ndlovu performed at the Ballet International Ballet Competition Gala as a special guest Choreographer featuring the showcased winners from the competition and other alumni.

I am proud to say, it is always great to see how ballet has a tremendous impact and can be shared and adored across the globe. It is even more of a pleasure to see the talent and creativity from those of the TWB Family!

Remember to keep on the look out for what our new season, SEDUCTION, has in store!
