Hello TWB Family and Friends!

TWB dancers are taking a bite out of ballet as we prepare to seduce your senses with the company premiere of Dracula!

This week, the Ballet has the pleasure of welcoming repetiteur, Denis Malinkine into the studios to kick off rehearsals for Michael Pink’s most popular and most successful ballet, Dracula. Crafted in Europe, this production has been performed throughout Great Britain, New Zealand and by only three other companies in the United States. Choreographed in a British narrative style following in the footsteps of Fred Ashton and Kenneth McMillan, Pink brings to life Bram Stoker’s Dracula in a fresh interpretation Involving a deep dark atmosphere fashioned by Philip Feeney’s original score, Lez Brotherson’s massive scenery and meaty roles, the TWB dancers will sink their teeth into one of the most paramount productions of our season. The Washington Ballet is thrilled to be bringing this breathtaking story of passion, seduction, transformation and sacrifice to the Kennedy Center stage with Dracula danced by Jared Nelson and new company member Hyung-Woong Kim.
